Hope.

God, grant me the serenity to accept the things I cannot change,
Courage to change the things I can,
And the Wisdom to know the difference.

This prayer is pretty famous, often seen on posters.

It is now mine.

Shyt.

Practically the whole uni's on holiday already, but I still have to attend tutorials and lectures.

Why? Because a goody-goody two shoes lecturer who was very adamant in following the stupid schedule word for word, whereas all the other lecturers canceled this week's classes in view of a longer break.

Yes I admit, you are a pretty good lecturer. I've got to give it to you, the methods used to convey your knowledge to us is indeed effective, considering the fact that you're able to keep everyone's attention till the end of the lecture, which is no mean feat. Many lecturers have evidently failed in that department, to the class's disappointment.

But darn it, you tried too hard this time. Because of you, we've to come for classes tomorrow. Idiot.

And that brings me to my other gripe. In view of the long break, my final exam dates have been affected. Final exam week is usually only a week long. But for this term, its on the 1st week of Dec till the 3rd week of Dec, which is bloody 3 times the usual length.

When I asked for an explanation of such a lengthy exam period, I was informed that the exam will commence on the 1st week of Dec, then there's no paper on the 2nd week in view of the public holidays on that particular week, and the remaining papers will be on the 3rd week. This is very inconvenient.

Because I am going to Bali the whole 3rd week, and now that seems very unlikely. It was planned since January, and now my ticket is useless. Was looking forward to it too.

Needless to say, I am upset.

Update.

Classes were like clockwork last week. Had exams here and there. The results fell short of my expectations. Have to up the effort.

Saturday. Woke up early for breakkie at Oldtown Kopitiam, then headed to the Calvary Carnival 2008 at Bukit Jalil Golf and Country Club, with Joel in tow. Suffice to say, storm clouds were hovering when we got there.

Rain fell in torrents not long after we arrived. Met up with her and went around checking stuff out. Got hold of Crimson Epiphany's album too, upon her recommendation. Went home about 3-ish.

Went for service not long after that, and then dinner with cg.

A thounsand apologies, Roe.For not being able to send you off. It has been a great pleasure knowing you all this years. We practically watched each other grow lol. All the best in your studies and future undertakings yah. Godspeed, old friend.

Went for 1st service today, to pass some stuff to a friend and to collect my shirt too.

That's all for now. I am back at the home at the uni. Its back to books.

Varsity camp.

Went for the annual varsity camp. This year's theme was Point Of Difference (P.O.D). From Friday till Monday.

I never actually gave much thought of my point of difference. So there I went for camp, to find out.

And what a great camp it was.

But then again, what makes a great camp?

Good music, great sessions, the people and the like?

Yes, all of the above but there's one more thing. And that is an encounter with our Creator. A touch from Him. Nothing in this world can substitute that.

I had an encounter with my Creator. And for me, that makes a great camp.

Interceded for our beloved country too, while she celebrated her 51st year of independence.

But nevertheless, no camp is complete without nonsense and crap. Haha. =)

This was Khai Kyun's idea.

Games Group. Spawn is black, I know.

The eye of heaven sets on Independence Day.

Sarah and her card tower.

Games briefing by Jeremy.

With Lydia the psychiatrist, Sam the computer analyst and Joan the dietitian.

With Sue Ann. That's Victor in the foreground.

Every camp, sure must take a CG shot. Melanie, welcome to PCCG.

It was the babies turn after the group shot, to the immense joy of the photographers. So cute la, that boy. =)

That was camp 2008.
